Civil rights leader and human rights activist Coretta Scott King inspired people around the world with her courage as she pushed for change. Even before she met her husband, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., she was a leader, and she continued leading alongside him and after he was killed. She was a singer and an author, too, and her work has made a difference for Black Americans, women, and so many others today and for generations to come.
